Utah Scholarships



Regents' Scholarship

This scholarship awards students who complete a defined core course of study. Classes must be completed in grades 9-12. Currently the base scholarship is $1,000. Exemplary  Award is a flat amount up to $1250 per semester. It can be renewed for up to 4 semesters, 65 credits, or completion of a bachelor's degree. Daniels Scholarship Program

Provides a four-year annually-renewable college scholarship for graduating high school seniors in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico who demonstrate exceptional character, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities. Pays toward tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and miscellaneous educational expenses. Must have a minimum ACT score of 17 or a minimum SAT Math score of 470 and minimum Evidence-Based Reading and Writing Score of 450 to be eligible to apply. New Century Scholarship

Centennial Scholarship

Available to any student who earns enough credit to graduate early from high school. Up to $1,000.

National Merit Scholarship 

Students must take the PSAT/NMSQT in October of their 11th grade year. 

  • Open to U.S. high school students who take PSAT/NMSQT in specified year in high school and meet other entry requirements. 
  • Entry requirements published each year in PSAT/NMSQT Official Student Guide, sent to schools for distribution to students before October test administration, and on NMSC's Website. 
  • Applications sent to students through their schools. 
  • Semifinalists must meet additional requirements and advance to Finalist standing to be considered for National Merit Scholarships. 
  • 2,500 National Merit $2,500 Scholarships for which all Finalists compete
  • Over 1,000 corporate-sponsored Merit Scholarship awards for Finalists who meet criteria of sponsoring corporate organization
  • Over 4,500 college-sponsored Merit Scholarship awards for Finalists who will attend sponsor college/university.

ON GOING ELKS TEENAGER OF THE MONTH

One senior will be chosen monthly to receive recognition and $100 for the Golden Spikes Elks lodge. Selection is based on character, leadership and service. A 3 ring binder is required with copies of awards, letters, etc.


ON GOING MONTHLY VARSITY TUTORS SCHOLARSHIP 
Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students must write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Visitors to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for submitted entries. The top five entries with the most votes are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship. DEC 1 National Space Club Scholarship
In addition to speaking at the Goddard Memorial Dinner, the individual selected will also receive a scholarship, in the amount of $10,000.  Scholarships that are for 4 years of tuition, books, and a monthly stipend.  Students can use this scholarship for an entire year and then decide if they wish to pursue becoming an officer or to leave the ROTC and not have any obligation to pay back anything.  This scholarship can also be put on hold for an LDS mission if the student wishes to do so. Junior Girls.
